Cervical cancer is a serious but preventable cancer of the cervix (the lower part of your uterus). It is caused by abnormal cells that develop in the cervix and grow out of control.
The good news is that if it is found early it can be treated and cured.
Almost all (99.7%) cervical cancers are caused by an infection called the human papillomavirus (HPV).
