  • Look for a different way to give yourself a boost.
  • Look for other ways to relax.
  • Reach for something else when you're feeling down or lonely.
  • Admit you're hooked and try to break free.
  • Kick the habit!
  • Don't let the fear of gaining weight keep you from quitting tobacco (most people gain 3-5 pounds.)
  • Talk to friends and family about your plans to quit.
  • Tell yourself you can do it!
  • Stay busy and keep moving.
  • Hang in there--you'll get past the tough moments.
  • Prepare yourself for quitting.
  • Ask for help if you need it.
